I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT, CLARA................

Over the course of '22, I've been able to knock out a LARGE chunk of demanding work on the final dungeon, and am now safely into endgame territory. Many of the original BGM for this title has now been implemented, and I'm finally freed from the slings and arrows of (hellboy npc undertale voice) PUZZLE. It is a HUGE hurdle to be over, design-wise.

So what's left now? YET ANOTHER MOUNTAIN OF ASSET WORK. The best and worst thing about indie gamedev is that there's no one to stop you when you go, "Hey, it would be cool/fun/funny if..." - it's the best thing because it always WILL be cool/fun/funny if, but the worst because it will generally take a ton of thankless labor to implement your idea(s).

The tl;dr is that Doumei's release ETA is still very much "when it's done" but we are still certainly way closer to done than we've ever been before. So, y'know. (nakata jouji as kotomine voice) 喜べ諸君, etc.

In between putting the rest of the game together, I've also been working on the Japanese translation, because it would sure be nice to release that only a few months after the English version comes out instead of 1+ years later. Currently the Japanese script is finished through area 2, i.e. pretty much the entirety of the current partial release.

ALSO, OFIC magazine issue #3, which features Shiratama's short story of origin Heliotrope, is now available for purchase. Be aware that the issue features some 18+ material, but like, if you are an adult??? GO BUY IT GO GO GO.
